couldn't be found today...but i did catch a decent 2.5lbr in some of the craziest rapids that i've ever caught a bass.
another day of heavy clouds but not enough rain to blow out the river...so i headed up there at lunch. i was afraid i waited too long (had stuff to do) and that the sun would burn the clouds away before i got there...it pretty much did. started clearing up on the way there and the sun was shining when i hit the river...missed the heavy clouds by an hour.
wanted to go after some stripers but the sun pushed em back deep...and most of the bigger ones have probably moved on up stream since the water got into the low 80's last week. it was back to 75 today but not stripers wanted to play.
while tossing in the craziest white water around...i had this little beaut come up suck in the Bull Shad. thought it was a small striper at first because of where i caught her but as soon as i felt the tugging i knew it wasn't. IMO, a striper...even a small one...puts up a distinct fight that is way more powerful than any shoalie or spot i've ever caught.
here's a cool turtle i found swimming around in the shallows
a ton of little toads that just recently emerged from the river
