Jackson Lake - Millbrook, AL 4-28-12

So I decided to check out Jackson Lake which is a small lake that feeds into the Alabama River. The place looked awesome. There was tall timber all through the lake. Part of the movie Big Fish was filmed on the island which the boat ramp is on. I threw everything I had and only managed one small hybrid which is the first fish in my Coosa. It costs $3 to get in and you have to fill out a membership card to get the gate code but it is free. $3 per day. Former Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright was working the gate. Must be family land somehow. I will definitely go back but maybe early in the morning or late evening. I got burnt

Too bad, sounds like it could be a great lake though if it's a paid place like that. Just need to hit it when the fish are in the right mood.
