Default Got to Love those Line Sides OTF

Headed down to the fishin hole with a borrowed fly rod (thanks to Dmurph) and couple of home made ties. I've only caught two so far this year, but I'll be trying to add to the count. What is your best fles on top water and subsurface for stripers? My current ones are below. I'll try to post some fly pictures soon.

    Rod: 8 wt

Top Water: Havent figured this one out yet....

    Subsurface: Clousers

Nice job Riggs!! They knock the crap out of a clouser and pull hard, don't they?

I'm with you on the clousers subsurface but I've caught my best fish on deceivers.

I don't fish topwater much since I don't usually see any activity on top, but I've caught some on crease flies and a deer hair diver. Good luck!

I have caught stripers on a #2 peck bug in white. They were chasing shad below a large dam on the Tennessee River and anything white would have worked. There was very little finese involved it was cast and hold on.

    Nice, love the stripes OTF!

I've always done best subsurface but have seen a few caught on Wiggle Minnows.

Agree with Kfischerman - when they're really on, you could catch one on anything in your fly box tied to an anchor rope! The hard part about striper fishing for me is finding them because they are constantly on the move.

When both of them hit, they burned about half of my fly line off the real before i could get'em to stop. I can only imagine what a tarpin, or bone fish feels like. Yes, I am now an addict for life.
