Fishing with Tread , Mookie and Catawba

Made a trip out west to fish a local flow with Fishwhisperer and met up with Tread, Mookie and Catawba. water temp was 58 to start off with and by midday had risen to a toastey 62 degrees. My go to smallie lure has always been a chartreuse spinnerbait. my next go to lure is a chartreuse spinnerbait and my 3rd go to bait is a chartresue spinnerbait!....4th is a 3in tube.....Any way all the guys were wearing me out ....I think I had 1 fish and everyone else had a bunch. so, I asked Catawba what color he was throwing. HMmMM...not chartreuse......now I know I am not the smartest kid on the block but I aint the dumbest either. If someone is catching and I aint then I am switching!......I changed colors and proceeded to makeup some ground.....never gotnear what mookie and Tread got but I was happy with my recovery and I pulled this ole gal out from behind a mid streamrock.

she went 18.5 inches but the best part of the day was meeting up with Tread , Mookie and Catawba. We will have to get yall on some "stinky" 5 and 6 lb fish around here.......Thanks Mack

Enjoyed spending the day on the water with a great bunch of river bassers. Wind got up pretty good and I did end up catching one of my biggest on a chartreuse sb. I think Mack's came on a white one. Fishwhisperer was impressive standing up in his 119 in 20 mph gusts! Congrats on the nice fish Mack. Look forward to getting out again and you're welcome down my way anytime.
