I had injured my right leg, then my left leg trying to protect my right leg It a visous circle!
Any way, my yak fishing really didn't take off until September, during huricane irene...................
Rented a cottage on TwinLakes, West Twin, it was perfect, dock 30' from my door step.
We had rain all but the last two days, but no thunder and lightening, so it was game on and the Bass were
All bass were caught with jig/pigs, chatter baits, and yum dingers.
Lisa is taking a nap in my W500 during a lull in the rain.
Needless to say, I made up for lost time.
Since then, I've picked up another WaveWalk W500, and added a motor mount to mine for a 1.2hp gamefisher outboard,
which only weighs 9lbs dry weight!
The test ride were awesome, after making the long runs to my spots with the motor and just using the paddle while fishing,
I couldn't even tell the difference with it on the back of my yak.
The motor sits perfectly between the hulls, and the prop has plenty of clearence.
This is the biggest Dace I've ever caught in my life.
And of course, my Small Mouth Beasts!
Then I took the W500 out on November 13th for it's rough water test......And It Was AWESOME!!!!!
Here is a video I made of the rough water test.
Winds were 15 to 25 mph, 60 degrees, water temp were 46 degrees.
Enjoy the video, wish I had put the motor on way before now.
