Default Bluegrass Bash Rodeo mini report

I only was able to head down this morning meet everyone who was there fish for a few hours and then get back to Louisville for baseball practice and then go scout a game. Anyway a big thanks to those who organized it and I hope you all caught them as well as I did today and continue to for the rest of the weekend. I caught a dozen or so smallmouth, 1 spot, and 1 bluegill.

    First of the day:

Caught several little guys like this one ... but all the fish were fat and healthy:

A few of the better ones:

Looking forward to more of these get togethers when I can stay a little longer!

    The get away

Hey Coach glad you did well, we caught quite a few fish and had a great time. We caught no monsters this time but I think everyone did about as well as you did. Maybe next year the weather will not be so rainy and cold like this year, but we did get several good weather days for the Rodeo. Got caught in a major lighting /rain storm on the last day of the float, an adventure I could have done without. I'll post a few pics as soon as I can.

Hey guys as we were packing up Sunday to head home we found we had an extra cooler. It's a red Coleman cooler with a white lid, if it's yours we brought it with us, so just let me know and we will try to get it to you.

Hey I think I might have seen a couple riverbassin guys! Was one of you in a square back canoe with a jack russle and another in a camo field and stream SINK? I think I saw those guys floating towards the campground on Saturday.

glad someone did well on the elkhorn..me and buddy couldnt make it to the rodeo to see everyone but we fished at the cardome ramp and was the worst fishing ever. we both caught 1 fish a piece. we just went to the wrong part of the elkhorn i guess.

I fished between Knight's Bridge and CanoeKY on Saturday morning and only caught 3 little smallies...I hope to try a different stretch next time.

Guys the fishing was tough for everyone, I think 17" was the biggest caught which is not the norm. With the wet wet spring and flows high for long periods plus the smallies were either on the nest or just coming off it was tough fishing. Now the pattern is right back with Elkhorn and most flows running high again, when will it ever end.

No kidding.... I am about ready to move to the desert I am so tired of all the rain!!! Of course come August I am sure we will all be wishing for rain so the creeks will be float-able again LOL.

I'm with you on moving to the Desert. If the rain doesn't stop it will be August before the flows start going down.
