I planned on hitting some local creeks with weekend, but with all this rain I don't know if that is gonna happen. Finally get some good weather with a day off work and its gonna rain non stop the day before. If this keeps up it looks like I'll have to wait some more to get the first fish of the year. Esp with turkey season starting next weekend.

How bad do you guys think the creeks will be tomorrow?

I was just looking at the weather maps and it's looking rough for you guys in the northern part of the state. Here in the Southern part we have thunderstorms predicted but unless the maps change due to heating we should be good to go on the smaller creeks. You can check the flow rates here to see.

I think we got about a half inch up here. Hopefully the creeks aint too bad.

its gonna be rough, the water around here jumped up 3-4 ft then dropped back off to about a foot above normal. The water temps fell as well about 8-9 degrees. I was planning on going fishing yesterday morning but I had to help a friend move then it started raining, talk about a sucky day! I am not sure what sudden water surges and drops do to the smallies in the creek but I cant imagine it is helpful.

I've been watching the radar up there for the last week. Ya'll have been getting it bad.
On the flip side, around here it's extreme drought and wild fires.
To bad we can't trade out rain for dry.

no creeks around here are going to be fishable for the next few days at least, looks like a repeat of last year. Hopefully it stays warm, today was chilly!!!
