It has been a long time since I've been on the water. Been busy taking care of parents who are going through a lot of health issues. Also, Blue Moon had vertigo last week and is just getting over it. However, late this evening we decided to tread through the woods and wade a small creek just to wet our feet and get ready for a trip into Kentucky with our old friend Smfisher to catch some smallmouth. So, we dusted off the casting reels and headed out.
We had just stepped into the water and Blue Moon cast a soft plastic worm into the creek and on the first cast caught a small spotted bass.
I had not made a cast yet and she is already catching fish.So I waded up stream and soon after tossing a buzzbait I caught this pretty spot!
Changed to a soft plastic and caught a LM.
I found this growing tree interesting. I reminds me how storms of life may knock us down, but hope and life spring eternal.
After catching 3 fish, I sat down to watch Sue fish. She gets so intense when looking for a bass!
Then she layed into this nice LM! He fought her hard for a good while, but she got him in! It was exciting to see her light up with joy over landing this fish!
We caught 5 bass in a 25 minute period as soon as we got to the creek. Then, like flipping a light switch, they stopped. We were only at the water for 40 minutes, but it sure was good to get wet again. Hope you enjoyed!
