    Default Big thanks to DMURF

Had the pleasure of fishing with DMurf2005 a few days ago. The fishing was decent and we both managed to land a few fish, but halfway down the river my day took a turn for the worse. I had a headache for the most of the day, which then developed into serious flu like symptoms. I immediately became 100% depleted and could barely paddle, let alone stay conscious. I managed to make it home with DMURF towing me for about the last hour of the float. COMPLETELY miserable day, but thanks to DMURF for hanging in there with me and cutting his trip short, I made it home safe and sound.

Thanks again Daniel, you are a great fishing buddy.

Whew! Doesn't sound good! Hope you're feeling better DeadEye! Any idea what the problem was? Food poisoning maybe?

Deadeye......glad you made it out ok and thanks to dmurf for coming to you aid! Tell me one thing...how do you talk someone into towing you for an hour to the takeout?
The reason I ask, I need to talk RatherBfishin and Waderjon into doing that with me once in a while!!! Maybe I can do that when "Be Kind To Old People" day rolls around!

Way to go DMURF! Having a float partner makes for a much safer float.

    RBOM for sure

I think it was a Slim Jim that I ate earlier that day. Either way, throwing up everything in your system in 100 degree heat is a terrible way to lose all your strength.

Your not kidding and can turn a fun situation into a deadly one. Good thing you were not fishing alone.

Sorry to hear that you got sick Deadeye but I know Daniel had a great time. We hope you are feeling better. I guess him paddling me around in our two man canoe for the last 3 months (I have a terrible back) came in handy for getting you to the landing. He always says I got the paddling.. you fish. He is a good man and I am proud to call him my son. I hope I can make that float with you guys sometime and also get you over to our striper hot spot.

Thats cool stuff Dmurf, we gotta look out for each other on the river. It shows the class of people we have on this site.
