6/16 Report - Nice Scenery

Ole Hooker and I went for a wade after I got off work. It sure was hot and the water was up and stained due to a pretty big rain the day before. However we got out and had a good time.

We did not catch too many fish. However some of the pictures we got were very nice.

The road down to the river was blocked by a huge fallen tree so we started out walking a bit farther than expected. On the way in we saw a huge black snake but he decided to scram while we were getting cameras out. Once we got in the water this dude was already there.





Right away Ole Hooker grabbed this smaillie on a buzzer. We thought the bite was going to be real good. We were wrong.

We wound up only catching a handful of smallies and I lost a real nice one. The best bite we could manage was on the Zoom Speed Craw. This guy greeted me on one of my last casts of the night.

Moche that is one pretty stretch of water & very nice pics. I caught only 3 yesterday evening on the small river near my house but just being out there beats the heck out of reading about river fishing

Cool pictures! Ole Hooker and the deer picture is cool. The sun peering through the clouds is stunningly sweet! I felt like I was right there on the river with y'all!
