My new hangover cure.....

.....go fishing! Got to fish the river for a few hours today. Didn't feel too good heading to the stream, but felt much better driving home. Caught 1 dink bass on a popper. Water was up about a foot more than I like, but the clarity was good. I wet waded and those first few steps were pretty cold, but 70 deg. air temps help. Wading was a little more difficult than normal. Quick sand everywhere, one step I took I sank to my crotch. Not very cool since I wasn't planning on getting the crotch wet. First bass of the new year for me, hopefully they're not all it's size since I deemed it unfit for a picture. I think good topwater fishing is right around the corner though, signs of Spring are everywhere!

Yah, those rivers sure do hit the spot...Catching even one is a bonus sometimes...

the fishing should have heated up a little over this week, and it looks like we dodged any significant rain. You have plans this weekend? Ps. Grand Isle is looking really good for Sunday.
