If anyone throws a wacky rig on spinning gear this might work out for you a little bit. A lot of the finesse worms have the egg sack closer to the head of the worm. That is where most people hook it and on spinning gear you will develop a lot of line twist and make for a long day. You might try hooking the egg sack vertically (hook from top and pull out towards bottom) as opposed to horizontally and this will help reduce some of the line twist. At times I like using a nail in the head for a weight, but mostly I insert a small glass rattle and that gives some weight and noise to your finesse bait.

jk, great tip for those clear water rivers and spooky bass. I don't use it often because I don't have to but it is a great tip for those who routinely fish clear water and those who rarely do because the best fisherman out there are the ones who can adapt to any sitution and have the largest set of tools to use so to speak.
