Guys, it is now getting to be prime time. I have been looking at some new water I want to float this year.

I been looking at the Enoree, Black, Saluda, Edisto, and Wateree.

What rivers (no specific spots) are in your targeting radar for 2009?

I definitely want to hit the Edisto. I fish the Wateree all the time but I'd like to fish the upper stretches of it starting at the tail-race. Anything that will give me the chance to catch a palmetto smallmouth too. I've caught them in WNC but never in SC.

i'm going to learn the yadkin a bit more, and float at least one differant section locally.

thinking about doing a multi day trip so i can fish all the sections that the big 3 feeder creeks(mitchell, fisher, ararat) flow into.

i live in the n.w. section of the piedmont about a half a mile from the ararat river, and it's loaded with small spotted bass, and fun to wade.

there are a few stretches of the new river that i plan on hitting.

i've learned about 25 or 30 miles of the new river over the last 10 years, and always try to explore a differant section every year

i'd like to fish the james around lexington va again...it's been 8-9 years since i was last there.

i've heard there has been a fish kill though.Cry

i got an invitation to float the holston in s.w. virginia.

i'll probably do that since it will only take about an hour and a half to get there.

i was supposed to float the chucky in tn last year, but the guy hosting had to bow out at the last minute and we haven't been able to hook up since...wouldn't mind doing that.

I want to do the Edisto. I learned to fish on the Edisto when I was younger, but I haven't been back in a long time.
