Looks like fun and those Smallies look very cool.
Thanks guys. The lure is actually a Cabelas "Real Image" in Alewife color for $6.99. Looks just like an Alewife or Blueback and has great action. This stripe and its buddies were way up in trout...
Didn't have any work this morning so went way up a small river to try and test my new spinning rig out on a big Striper. Went to some fast water wayyy out in the middle of nowhere and water was still...
Sweet... Nice looking fishes'...
Cool Video and some nice Stripes...
Thanks guys.
It was an AMAZING fight... Felt like forever, but probably only lasted 10-15 minutes but I was using pretty heavy gear and my arms were wore out by the time I landed it. :) It pulled like a freight...
Right at 42 lbs. I think this spring when full of eggs that fish will be around 50 lbs, and I hope to catch it again then... :)
Caught my biggest GA Striper on New Years Eve day... This Monster came from the Chestatee River arm of Lake Lanier, several miles below where the river meets the lake. It at about a 12 inch trout I...
I hope they listen to Dr. Frye and do away with the Rodman reservoir. I am sure more fish and other wildlife was affected than just the striped bass...
Got a chance to fish today and went for Stripers on upper part of Lake Lanier, a couple miles below where the river comes in. Found some massive schools of bait (small threadfins) and the stripers...
Nice... I haven't been on the water in weeks and I am having withdrawals. That topwater bite is sooooo fun.
Nice fish. I have caught a couple on spinnerbaits but not many. My son hooked a monster with a spinnerbait casted up into whitewater one time but he couldn't do nothing with it and it broke him...
Those are some nice bass. I bet that Spot in the last 2 photos put up a good fight...
Very nice...
Those are some excellent looking fish. Glad to see some big ones being caught.
Very cool. Congrats and I bet that got your heart pounding big time.
Thats a Shoal-zilla for sure. Lake fishing in deep water will never be the same, or atleast its not for me. Still fun, but I will take a small river any day in the warmer months. Congrats Mike, glad...
I voted for it, as it was Striped Bass... :D
Excellent trip. Good job and nice thumb... :D
Nice catching... The NG rivers should be high tomorrow, so I might try and catch a stripe or 2 in the morning. Glad you got Cletus his 1st Shoalie but a shame he lost 3 rods. :(
VERY NICE... Congrats.
I use the Albright Special for Braid to Flouro as well and it has held up to many 20+ lb stripers in current... :)
