Speed Loading Tube Baits
When at home I pre-rig a few tubes using the Paw-Paw method minus the brass rod. I describe it as unicorn the wire up the butt of the tube.
However, on the water I just speed load:
Insert hook point
Find the exit for the hook point (hardest part of the process):
Push the head into the hole created by the hookpoint:
You do end up with a small tear, which might be a problem on single walled tubes. A drop of glue works well to seal, if you feel the need. A little practice and your hole will get smaller. The hole is a non-issue on double and triple dipped tubes.
Oh yeah, another advantage of speed loading is you do not have to untie your jig hook.
