I had surgery on my foot a week and a half or so ago and have been cooped up in the house, which leads to a serious itch to fish. I was under doctors orders to keep it high and dry. I figured I could keep my foot dry enough bobbing around in the Granite Basin lakes where I heard the bass fishing was decent. The water is crystal clear and choked with weeds and I found it very hard to fish. After a couple a hours of throwing the arsenal and all of the old faithfuls to no avail, it thundered and the sky began to fall. I put a bag on my foot and paddled back to the car for lunch(which I left at home) and to wait out the storm. Though I vowed never to return, I probably will as I tend to be a glutton for punishment.

And I have to include newly painted tack photos. Like I said, I have been sitting around the house for a while now and painting a lot! I did not make these, I just buy the blanks and spray paint them.

Like this one. Floating lipless crankbait, looks great in the water and has good action.

Thanks a lot! an abundance of down time and obsessive compulsive personality go a long way towards improvement. Thinking about getting a beginner air brush kit, spray cans are getting a little frustrating and limiting.

I've been looking at the Pasche air brush for sometime now, they are a good brush and relatively inexpensive around $60. Winter is when I do most of mine so I may hold off until then on the brush.

I'm probably looking at the same one at around the same time, winter is long here

I don't guess that I have fished anything like that on that scale before and I did not do very well. I only got a few bites. I will probably go back sometime soon and try to jig some of the holes or punch though the matts. Don't really have any rods set up for that kind of heavy duty fishing.
