Yesterdays trip started out with a stop at Jessup Mill. Then I headed south to my favorite place to wade the Dan, since I left the Coosa at home.

The fishing was dead at first, then it started to pick up. The Redbreasts were the first to bite then the smallies started. The saddest part of my trip was getting hung up and watching a nice size small mouth swim right past me in ankle deep water.

Match the hatch. This bad boy was 5" from head to tail.

Your right. I wasn't paying attention to the "ears".

I've caught a few from a creek not far from the house that were bright blood red. They are truly one of the most beautiful sunfish around.

Here is a few pics from the weekend before.

I have recently retired and have purchased a kayak. I want to find some good places to fish. NOT your secret holes just some good locations and maybe a chance to fish with some fisherman. My email address is rjeffries@triad.rr.com
