I never thought I'd do this, but here goes:

For sale:
Sage 890-2 RPL. 9'0" ft 8wt, 2-piece. Factory built rod in original Sage aluminum rod tube and sock.
I looked the rod over and could not find a single scratch on it except for one very small nick in the cork grip near the butt end, of which I'll gladly send a photo of if interested. It's in as good of shape as you'll probably find a used RPL in. The aluminum tube has several scratches and dings from protecting the rod but is still in fine working order. This rod has the aluminum reel seat with the small fighting butt. Double stripping guides. This rod has some serious power and is an excellent rod for casting large, heavy flies for bass or....
The RPL's are, IMO, the rods that put Sage on the map. This rod is beautiful and has top-shelf components on the brown blank. Not many 8wt's have this power but retain great "feel" as the RPL's do.

$200.00 plus actual shipping.

Thanks for looking.

I built a rod using a 890 RPL blank back in 1992, it died in battle last year. The RPL series will gun a line very smoothly.
