River Report 3/18

Well after being couped up all week at work and RiverRich sending fish pics the last couple of days I just had to get out. So today after work I ran down to a river close to my house I have never fished before. I ended up with 7 NICE fish out of one hole in about 45 minutes! What a great way to finish up the week and start the weekend! Caught all the fish on a white spinner bait. Here is the winner of the day. Man do I feel like an idiot for passing up this place for so long.

That is a very nice fish. You need to fish everything you can, some of the best fish are in the smallest places. They are always in the spots that others overlook. The very best bass fishing in the South will never get any publicity. Keep looking!

Nice going, I have preferred the smaller creek near my house compared to the river for the last couple of years, more fish+less pressure=more fun for me.

Dude, that is a freakin monster KY spot! That thing's gotta be well over 3lb. If I'm guessing correctly, that location must be money...about 4 years ago, my personal best KY spot (2-6) came from that exact location (in the ditch on the other side of the river) on the same exact lure, also doing a little fishing/scouting after work. Congrats!

That's the truth. This caught me so by surprise I was literally laughing out loud after every fish! You hear so much bad stuff about this river, but obviously that does not = bad fishing. Looks like I have a honey hole right in my back yard though!

RedHeron there was a very nice looking ditch on the other side. I just knew a pig was hanging out over there in the current brake, so it may very well be the same spot.
