Slow Start

[skinny river]

Saturday we gathered up for a beautiful day of fishing on the lower flint. There were two boats; boat one SSF and myself- boat two Shoal Tide and Travis from the DNR. There was no morning bite and after three hours both boats only had two keepers a pieces. Just before lunch it started to pick up. and about 4:00 we got on a school of Shoal Bass and Hybrids. Final total: boat 1- SSF-4 Shoal Bass 1 LGM - myself-4 Shoal Bass 1 LGM 3 Hybrids; boat 2- 3 Shoal Bass. There were two tagged Shoal Bass caught one by SSF and one be me, pretty cool considering the man that tagged them was in the other boat. After a good day for myself my father joined me on Sunday afternoon. We got to the water at about 2:30-3:00. We caught 4 Shoal Bass in less than 3 hours. Not a bad weekend.

Skinny if thats slow I am ready for some. I am hitting the river for 4 days this week and I cant wait. Them are some good fish and you got to spend a day with dad, those are memories man.

Had a great time last weekend. Next time I think I'll kick Tide to the curb and get in your boat. I think the shoalies can sense all of that awful crimson tide garbage he has stuck everywhere! It is a proven fact shoal bass bleed red and black. Seriously though, i had a great time on the water with you guys. The next few weeks should be dynamite.

Slow start not slow day. Had to do a bunch of running but the afternoon bit was hot. We got on two different schools of fish. GA B anytime you want to go just give us a call, Just us repaying you for your hard work.

Sorry Tide, I couldn't resist. I can't argue though, I'm starting to think I may be the jinx. Maybe you should apologize to Jake for me, but then he did get half of my lunch.... One thing is for sure, they are always biting on the electricity!!!!!!
