Alright looks like were getting some interest. Here is one of the flows were looking at , but it isn't even close to being set we need input from some guys in both states on flows to consider. The Big South Fork flows from Tenn into Ky, the only major issue is that water levels can get low in late fall but not always, lots of smallies . Here is some pics of the river, there are three pages of them on this link.

Any weekend in October should work especially if we stay away from 14-16th (My daughter's birthday) but I could even work that out if that is the only one that works. Looks like some beautiful water 4 sure!

I'm kinda waiting on the announcement of the River Bassin Trail. Sarah and I were wanting to do something here in Tennessee for her birthday weekend Oct 2nd - 4th, we were waiting on the River Bassin Tour to release their dates , and all other tournaments before me announced anything.

I would love to join you all if the dates work with my schedule, that would be fun.Hopefully Cmayes we can work out a date where you can come up and fish with us. The Elkhorn is a great creek for smallies and spring is always a good time for the opportunity to hook into a beast .

I'd love to do it.
Great idea guys. I grew up fishing the Big South Fork, love the idea cant wait. Its also worth mentioning the two rivers that form the BSF,
New River and Clear Fork they have some great smallmouth and spotted bass fishing not to mention the chance for the occasional Musky and Walleye.
I have fished almost every stretch of the New River from the Head waters to the BSF and had several 100 pluss smallie days. If you guys have any
questions about the rivers id be more than happy to help out.

Sounds like a plan to me, Like you said depends on water levels that gorge can be a widow maker at times.

For three days last September I camped and fished along the White Oak Ccreek that empties into the Big South Fork and did poorly. I think the creek took a big hit while the trail that parallels the creek was open to ATVs. However the New River and Clear Fork don't seem to have that problem and what I saw of those streams they look very bassy. I hope I can join you on the KY/TN Bash.
I'm definatley game. The Big South Fork is definately Gods country, absolutely beautiful. There are so many feeder streams packed full of potholes overflowing with Smallies and Red Eye. The perfect spot for a border bash.

Any word on this??? Hasn't been a post on this in a while and fall (believe it or not) is approaching fast. I've been covered up this summer and not had much time to really work on it. With that said we need to pull this off and get a date set. Anyone interested in coming should help us set a date that will allow the most to attend. Give us your opinion guys on when we should have it.
