Saturday, I floated the CT River for a 16 mile stretch from Sumner Falls to Wilgus State Park. We camped at the park and had a great time. Beautiful weather for a float, but tough day for the smallie bite. There wasn't any strong current as the weather hasn't provided any need for hydro generation. When the current is slow, the smallie bite is slow. It is a great section of the river - when the current flows, so do the numbers and quality smallmouth. I did get anice one just below Sumner Falls
