My 10 Dollar, No Drill, Anchor Trolley

I just bought my first fishing kayak and have been tinkering with all of the do-it-yourself rigging ideas over the last few days. Needless to say, I feel like a kid again! hahaha :cool:

After reading some tutorials on building a simple anchor trolley, I managed to add one to my yak (even though I may never even use and anchor..hehe). The materials cost around $10 and required no drilling and is super easy to remove.

I created a short video that shows the anchor trolley, how it was made, and the parts required to build it, which are basically:

2 - 1/4" spring links
1 - 3/4" single swivel pulley
1 - 1 1/2" stainless steel ring
Rope (I think I used 1/8")

Shane, glad you're enjoying rigging your boat. Definitely be careful with an anchor in a river and especially any anchor that is not coming off the VERY VERY front or rear of the boat.

I've read and heard some horror stories about using anchors in rivers (hence the "even though I may never even use an anchor..hehe")....I guess it's that inner-kid-tinkerer in me! ha

I hear geese are even more dangerous though! hahaha...I kid. ;) I know I know, you're probably sick of geese jokes, but I had to slide it in!!!

Nice, as a matter of fact I watched your video last night when I was checking out how to run my anchor trolley.
The system I'm using is the one made by Yakleash, I bought one off Ebay yesterday. Here is the video.
