I had the opportunity today to do a float with a long time friend and his girlfriend, we used to wade a lot together but he has only floated with me once and he didnt really get a good taste of how much fun it was. Anyway the bite was kind of slow early as it usuually is on this flow but it soon picked up. Most of the fish today were caught on flukes ,shakeyheads ,and beetlespins . About halfway through the trip I heard my buddys girlfriend tell him she has never caught this many fish in all her trips combined lol. We had a great trip , and I think I may have hooked two more on our sport today lol.
here is a pic of my friend with his first river bass.

Its A pfleuger ladies trion. What is throwing you off is the rod float above the handle. Btw I highly recomend this setup for any lady in your life. I bought that one for my daughter last year and she loves it,my wife also uses it even though she has a gloomis of her own.

CF, that's pretty cool that you took a day out of your schedule to take your friend and his gf. Truly the sign of an ambassador for the sport and what it is all about.
