<p>An invention by R.D. Hull, a west Texas watchmaker,&nbsp;was brought to the Zero Hour&nbsp;Bomb Company in 1945. He designed a reel that would not backlash, so in June of 1945, 25 models rolled out the door and they were named the Standard.</p>
