Jump n Fish

<p>After probably a year of talking about it, Redfish and I finally got to meet up for a trip on Friday.&nbsp; The plan was to put in a small creek and float it down to another river and take out on it.&nbsp; The scenery and water was some of the prettiest I&#39;ve seen in Mississippi and the day was a blast even though we didn&#39;t catch a whole lot.&nbsp; Redfish is the kinda guy that after talking with him for about 5 minutes, you feel like you&#39;ve known him your whole life.&nbsp; We enjoyed covering a wide range of topics throughout the day and the few fish were just a bonus.</p>
<p>I did have high hopes for the day right from the start when I caught three fish immediately after we put in.&nbsp; This is usually a bad sign for me though and it seemed to hold true once again.&nbsp; It was a tough day after that as far as the fishing went.</p>
<p>Here&#39;s the first three</p>
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/647/picture001dt.jpg" alt="" /></p>

<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/592/picture003vx.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>I wish my camera could&#39;ve captured the beauty of this little section, but the colors just don&#39;t show up the same.</p>
<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/9551/picture005px.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>Didn&#39;t take long for Terry to get on the board</p>
<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/1008/picture006ts.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>The big ol beehive wasn&#39;t hanging by much of anything.</p>
<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1130/picture010lo.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>Even though there isn&#39;t much in this picture, its the only one I have where you can actually tell how beautiful the color of this water was.</p>
<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/8309/picture011zf.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>Here&#39;s the last fish pic I took because they all pretty much looked the same.&nbsp; I think I may have managed around 9-10 for the day.&nbsp; I did get bit off by a toothy I never got to see, which bummed me out.</p>
<br />
<p><img style="vertical-align: text-top;" src="http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/4279/picture012vi.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<br />
<p>Thanks for the great time Redfish.&nbsp; I hope we can do it again soon.</p>

Hmmm, I have baseline selected for all my photos.&nbsp; Not sure why they got mixed up.

<p>Sorry, it was my mistake, you should change it to "text top" not baseline.&nbsp; You simply put in the sentence/paragraph and then hit "return" and then put the photo in as "text top" then hit "return" and put the next photo or sentence in etc.&nbsp; I&#39;ll go and change the default to "text top" so you shouldn&#39;t have to manually do it any more.&nbsp;</p>
<p>PS.&nbsp; align "right" works too with the text wrap if you ever want to try it.&nbsp;</p>

By the way I forgot to say "nice report!"&nbsp; I was fortunate enough to have lunch with Terry (Redfish) today in SC.&nbsp; He&#39;s a great guy and it is always neat to see folks get together from states away all because of this site.&nbsp; Looks like you guys had a blast on the water and as usual caught some nice ones! <img title="Laugh" src="/site/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif" alt="Laugh" />

<p>I got up around 3:30 a.m. to drink coffee and get ready to hit the road to meet JnF. We met up around 5:30 and I followed Jeff to our destination across the state to hit some new water. Here are a couple of photos. The first is Jeff ahead of me on the highway and the second is the sun coming up in my rear view mirror.</p>
<p><img style="float: left;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009600.jpg?t=1259349963" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /><img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009601.jpg?t=1259350039" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<br />
<p>After discovering that our original plan would not work because of a lack of take out down stream, we went to plan b. Here we are at the put in. I think Jeff was casting before his yak even got wet!&nbsp;</p>
<p><img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009602.jpg?t=1259350191" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p>Jeff was killing them on a Jig n pig! Here are some photos of Jeff fishing as we waded upstream and as we floated downstream. Jeff is constantly casting and hitting his marks to look for fish&ndash;he wastes little time or energy in hunting the hawgs.</p>
<p><img style="float: left;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009609.jpg?t=1259350383" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009625.jpg?t=1259350466" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009614.jpg?t=1259350766" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<br />
<p>Here are a couple of the fish I caught. We did not catch any with good size, though Jeff produced the most numbers and the biggest.&nbsp;</p>
<p><img style="float: left;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009610.jpg?t=1259350553" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /><img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009627.jpg?t=1259350603" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<br />
<p>Here are some random shots of this particular stretch of water which reveals the absolute beauty of this flow&ndash;the water had a very fertile look to it&ndash;though the bite was off and the fishing was tough, we are planning on going back and hopefully laying into some big boys as we know they are in there.</p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009613.jpg?t=1259351023" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009621.jpg?t=1259351047" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009623.jpg?t=1259351071" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009607.jpg?t=1259351110" alt="" width="768" height="1024" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009611.jpg?t=1259351167" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009612.jpg?t=1259351190" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009603.jpg?t=1259351226" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>

<p>Here are a couple of my favorite photos of the trip! The blue object in the last photo is Jeff&#39;s jig-n-pig hanging out of his yak as he was barely out of the picture.&nbsp;</p>
<p><img src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009606.jpg?t=1259351318" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p><img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu293/Terry_62/JnF/Nov202009608.jpg?t=1259351341" alt="" width="1024" height="768" /></p>
<p>Jeff, I really enjoyed this trip and look forward to our next one. The day was very special and that was in large part to your friendship and the fun it was to be in the water fishing with you. If anyone gets the chance to fish with JumpNFish, take it, as it will be a memorable one!&nbsp;</p>
<p>This stretch of water and those in this area of the State will certainly be on my list of &#39;must do&#39; fishing!&nbsp;</p>
