I fished yesterday with a fine gentleman I have heard of on the GRF (Georgia River Fishing) forum for quite a while and have never had the opportunity to meet or fish with him until yesterday. He only lives 8 miles from me, so we finally got together and fished the Upper Flint River. I have been keeping a close eye on the river patiently waiting for the water level to get back to a fishable level but my patience wore thin so we decided to take our chances. The fishing was tough! The higher than normal water level creates a faster than normal flow which made fishing pretty tuff. We did manage to hook up with about 12 fish all together. They were caught on spinnerbaits, plastic craws & Rapala J-11's. Come to Papa (Richard) had the honors for the day with a 2lb. 10oz. shoalie. An absolutely beautiful shoalie!!!
