There was only one Jerry Clower! He took real life experiences and spun a yarn with them. I saw him in real life when I was a small boy. His tales are as funny today as ever!

Nice one, I got a kick out of that.

"You wanna talk about it or fish!" I like talking about it but I\'d rather fish too!

I still use one of his colloquialisms to this day:

"She's (or 'it' or whatever) purdyer than speckled pup up-under a red wagon!"

He was definately unique. Another goodie to check out from Days gone by: Brother Dave Gardner

Boy, we're really showing our age when we drag out these old cheshnuts aren't we?

Jerry never, ever forgot his roots and being raised in poverty down in Mississippi. Laughter was his drug of choice. He's been gone since 1998 and we all still miss his down-home humor tremendously. An American Icon of home spun comedy.
