Fished Gauley River yesterday in post frontal conditions. Blue skies and strong winds made for a tough day. We only caught 8 smallmouth in about 6 hours of fishing. We caught 4 on a jig-n-craw and 4 on a 4" Yum dinger. Largest fish was 17". We had a couple close calls as tree limbs fell due to the strong wind gusts.
