I have Friday as a vacation day and had planned to spend a 3-day weekend in MS for the MS RiverBassin' Revival. Soggy terrain and muddy waters have postponed that event, but I already have my vacation time put in.

After the MS camp-out, I was going to go to Conroe, TX for my next job. Since the camp-out ain't happening, I'm thinking I might head over early and go to the hill country and spend my long weekend over there chasing some Guadalupes.

I may have to travel Friday morning, but it's possible I'll be available starting mid-afternoon Friday. I don't have to be in Conroe until Monday night to report to work Tuesday, so I could do a half day on Monday as well.

I am prepared to camp at a camp ground, but can rough it on the river as well. Anybody want to go? If not, can somebody point me in the right direction. My goal is to have a good time while trying to catch a 12" Guad. Who's in?

Edit: Friday is out...didn't realize how far I was going to have to drive. Still on for Saturday AM through Monday mid-afternoon.

Easter weekend is a hard time to put something together. That said there are several good state parks in the Hill Country on rivers thoguh reservations can be tough to get at a late date. Try Colorado Bend State Park. The "TPWD" site will get you started.
