This afterrnoon Yellow Old Town and myself decided to brave the labor day rafters and hit the hooch for some late day fishing. I was little skeptical pulling in the parking lot and seeing only a few spots left to park…. not a good sign for fishing in our stretch, but we came this far might as well float on and see what we get… and I'm glad we did. Plenty of bikini's and beers to make it good no matter what. Not a spectacular day of fishing but considering all the people out I was pretty happy. We probably pulled in close to 10 LMB and 1 Jack/pike/fish with a ton of teeth! Most of them were caught on purple, green, brown plastics and a few on crank baits. I'll try a post up a couple of the ones from my phone but I'll add the rest later.

Oh, did I forget to mention, Yellow Old Town pulled in a HUGE 24″+ LMB on a broken-back swim bait from knee deep water in a set of shoals we've never stopped at before, that pic is on YOT camera.

EDIT: Pictures added below

This guy liked the bait so much he hooked his mouth and his tail in one!

Walking back to the apt with the yak, canoe, and gear on my milk crate cart. It breaks down and doubles as a crate/tackle box for the back, the PVC uprights work great as rod holders, and the wheels stow in the hatch up front. I can't take full credit for it though, got the idea from youtube (kayak milk crate cart) but I made a few mods that make it a little easier to handle. Worked out pretty freaking good for the hike.

I'll get the real fish pics up tomorrow, but for now I'm going to crash-
