Yeah it was cool. Boyscout, all RiverBassin TV episodes submitted to the site will be linked to the forum like this one was so you should always know when they are made. Or, if you look on the home page on the right side about halfway down you can subscribe to RiverBassin via email and every time something new is posted to the site you get a notification! Pretty cool way to stay in touch with the latest content.

Nice videos Robert! Glad to have you here sharing your videos and expertise. I look forward to more posts from you in the future.

BTW, how do you have your camera rigged on your kayak? Care to share any pictures? I\'m trying to figure out a way to mount a camera to mine. Thanks.

Bruiser,

Actually no I don't mind sharing. As you can see in the picture below I used a piece of 1.5" PVC bolted to a milk carton. The PVC had an end cap with a 1/4" 20 threads per inch bolt, which I think is the standard tripod mounting screw for all cameras. At the time this picture was taken I was still recording with my kodak camera. I have since then upgraded camera's and the lens on my new camera doesn't take as wide of a shot, so I had to mount the camera back about 3 or 4 feet to get a good shot. Sorry I don't have a picture of how that looks, but it is mounted to the milk carton still because I couldn't bring myself to cut/drill a hole in the yak yet.

I am currently experimenting with taking my right side rod holder out and inverting it because it is 1.5" also and can be used with the same PVC parts. From there I don't know where I will go with it, but I am hoping to get it up in the air a bit and tilt it to capture more video in front of me and the kayak. I have been lucky so far to catch most of my fishing action (top water strikes, fish jumping, etc.) to the side of me, but I feel like I am taking up alot of the camera view with the camera directly behind me.

I will be interested to see what you come up with. Hope this info helps. If inverting the rod holder works out for me, I may put a "how to" on my website and I'll post a link to it on here.
