Small Mouth Air Show

<p>I walked down to Stony Brook in Suffield Ct.</p>
<p>Right out my Back door, through the woods to one of the Best Smallie fishing spots from shore, here in CT.</p>
<p>Reached the waters edge at 11am, to the tributary that is between Stony Brook and the Ct River.<br />Water levels are super high.<br />The water levels are at first spring run offs!&nbsp;<br />Couldn&#39;t even get under if I wanted to.<br />Armed with way to much gear, 2 med rods, one with 10# fireline smoke,<br />the other with 14# fireline yellow, with a chatterbait 1/8oz with a chart grub.<br />Tossed the chatter bait, but I just wasn&#39;t feeling it, waters are moving pretty good, and there was a couple of swirls.<br /><br />Picked up a couple small smallies on the dinger tossing it at those swirls.<br /><br />The swirls that started to show up were dotting the surface.<br /><br />So I put on my Hat Cam hat on, put on a ribbit frog, and started buzzing the surface.<br /><br />I tried to get down in the tubes and close to the pillars of the&nbsp;<br />tributary, and a few cast in...........Bam........pay dirt.<br />All caught on film.&nbsp;<img title="cha" src="http://www.ctfisherman.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/cha.gif" alt="" width="66" height="36" /><br />I caught 4 Smallies on the ribbit, and I am very happy.<br />I Love trying New Frogs and Landing fish, and they were all Top Water&nbsp;<br />explosions just like the video.&nbsp;<img title="smile1" src="http://www.ctfisherman.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/smile1.gif" alt="\\:\\)" width="15" height="15" /><br /><br />Had to leave at 12:30pm when I started to here the rumbles and&nbsp;<br />rain was falling lightly.<br /><br />Life Is Good!</p>

<p>I went down Aug 3rd at 6pm till dark.</p>
<p>Water levels dropped at least 3&#39;, but there were still some smallies willing to play.</p>
<p>This one smallie, best one of the night, hit like a frieght train, and almost cut me off in the brush and steel drain pipe.</p>
<p>But I was able to land her, and retie the nicked line.&nbsp;</p>
<p>When I turned on the video camera, I must have knocked it so it pointed to the right, so the quailty not as good as I&#39;d like&hellip;Dangit!</p>
