I've been waiting for this all summer! Tomorrow after work, I'll be heading to Four Mile Village (nature preserve in Santa Rosa Beach, FL) for some relaxation and fishing. Along the way, I'll be posting pictures of the trip. I'll definitely be fising the coastal dune lakes and the beach, and I'm trying to hit some of the sweet creeks north of town. If yall aren't familiar with coastal dune lakes, google it. They're really sweet and globally rare. See yall later!

Hey guys it's been unreal....just have'n a blast! I haven't hit the streams because there has been some rain to the north. Also, the fish have been blowing up anything I could throw in the surf...Thanks SMFISHER for the sparkle minnow...both minnows you tied for me caught fish...however your flies are now swimming somewhere in the gulf...

here a little lady fish...they fight like hell and make high jumps.

Keep getting broken off with 20lb flourcarbon...the bluefish have insane dental slicers...I eventually ran out of flies

Even threw bait...

They are fun on fly, even the small ones! (Pomps)

I had one come up and nail a fly within 10 of the kayak from me and almost **** near ripped the rod out of my hand, he was pulling drag so fast and was only maybe 5 lbs.

I know cole…all of these fish fight incredibly hard/long for their size. I was using my 8 wt set up, and these fish pulled as hard as most of the redfish (if not harder) I usually catch on that 8 wt. Plus the ladyfish jump like crazy!

-Unfortunately I had to leave early due to a death in the family, but I will be back August 14th to try again. Hopefully I can get out on some of the rivers.

Drew, the water was PERFECT! Normally we see seaweed this time of year, but that wasn't the case. I can't wait to get back. Hopefully we'll have the same conditions. The great thing about this area is that I have 3 options: the lakes, ocean, and streams. It's likely that one of these venues have good conditions.

Here's the bait. The girlfriend was my camera-lady and did a great job! She would be sitting in her chair and under an umbrella, when I would yell, "Hey come quick, I have a fish!!". A third of the time the fish would have gotten off by the time she'd get to me. She was a trooper.

I missed this post for some reason (old age probably). Your more than welcome I'm glad they worked for you. That is something I'm going to do before to long, I have always wanted to fish the surf or flats. Cool report
