(7-9) Ole Hooker got back in town from Ohio and has started his assault on the SC bass again.

He put in for a paddle up and float back for about 5 hours. His first catch was a small catfish but then got slammed by a huge largie that he had on for a good while and then it finally flipped of less than 6 feet from the boat.

He wound up catching about 10 on the day but saved the best for last.

This smallie weighed in at 4lb 10oz and fell for a small crawdad crankbait on his light spinning rig with 8lb test line. This fish was in the push water in about 4-5 feet. He let her have all the drag she needed to wear herself down. Great smallie!

On the 11th he went again for a short paddle around and managed 5 bass, 4 of which were smallies. No big ones were found on this trip.
