This is crazy, it has rained everyday for the last 2 weeks but seems like a month. As soon as the water starts to come down, we get more rain and they are blown out again. I am going crazy here, I hope to do some fishing tomorrow though.

Sounds like the story of my life, or at least for the entire spring here in MS. We have only had a few very small windows where the water looked good, and its been tough to coincide my free time with those times. Its been a rough start to the season, thats for sure.

But... With all this precip, the flows should be really good come the dry season. Fall is probably my favorite time to fish anyway, so I'm banking on all the rain to be a good thing for later.

Thanks for asking. Just talked to him yesterday. Still no luck on getting any treatment. Its a tough situation because there's really only two known treatment methods, and the insurance won't cover either. He is starting to feel some pain in the areas where the cancer has grown back, but he's in great spirits and has still been working full time. He's letting my stepmom handle all the appeals and trying to find alternate ways of getting treatment. He's staying out of the battle because he says he wants to stay positive and doesn't want to get bitter over anything. My stepmom formerly worked for Physicians Mutual, so she has a good understanding on how insurance companies work, so she's working pretty diligently. Even though its kind of a bleak picture, he still has his health and he's living every day to the fullest. He keeps saying he's gonna take a trip down here from Nebraska this year to do a kayaking trip with me, and I'm hoping either way, his health holds out long enough for us to have that time together. I really don't know how fast this will take its toll going untreated. We've been told its supposed to be a slow growing cancer, but it sure grew back fast, and only within a month of finding it hes already feeling pain again. So we don't know how much time he has. The Dr's refuse to give us any timeline.
