<p>This is crazy, it has rained everyday for the last 2 weeks but seems like a month. As soon as the water starts to come down, we get more rain and they are blown out again. I am going crazy here, I hope to do some fishing tomorrow though. <img title="Cool" src="http://www.riverbassin.com/site/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif" alt="Cool" /></p>

<p>Sounds like the story of my life, or at least for the entire spring here in MS.&nbsp; We have only had a few very small windows where the water looked good, and its been tough to coincide my free time with those times.&nbsp; Its been a rough start to the season, thats for sure.</p>

<p>But...&nbsp; With all this precip, the flows should be really good come the dry season.&nbsp; Fall is probably my favorite time to fish anyway, so I&#39;m banking on all the rain to be a good thing for later.</p>

<p>Thanks for asking.&nbsp; Just talked to him yesterday.&nbsp; Still no luck on getting any treatment.&nbsp; Its a tough situation because there&#39;s really only two known treatment methods, and the insurance won&#39;t cover either.&nbsp; He is starting to feel some pain in the areas where the cancer has grown back, but he&#39;s in great spirits and has still been working full time.&nbsp; He&#39;s letting my stepmom handle all the appeals and trying to find alternate ways of getting treatment.&nbsp; He&#39;s staying out of the battle because he says he wants to stay positive and doesn&#39;t want to get bitter over anything.&nbsp; My stepmom formerly worked for Physicians Mutual, so she has a good understanding on how insurance companies work, so she&#39;s working pretty diligently.&nbsp; Even though its kind of a bleak picture, he still has his health and he&#39;s living every day to the fullest.&nbsp; He keeps saying he&#39;s gonna take a trip down here from Nebraska this year to do a kayaking trip with me, and I&#39;m hoping either way, his health holds out long enough for us to have that time together.&nbsp; I really don&#39;t know how fast this will take its toll going untreated.&nbsp; We&#39;ve been told its supposed to be&nbsp;a slow growing cancer, but it sure grew back fast, and only within a month of finding it hes already feeling pain again.&nbsp; So we don&#39;t know how much time he has.&nbsp; The Dr&#39;s refuse to give us any timeline.</p>
