Guys, what does everyone think about making Sunday nights a live chat night?from Of course we can chat anytime we want with the chat widget on the bottom right but Sunday nights are sort of the end of the fishing weekend and a good time when people are just kickin back and getting ready for their week.

I would think 8 or 9pm would be a good time and whoever show up that week, shows up. We could get the scoup on everyone's trip for the weekend and talk friendly smack and what not.

Remember, to be in the chat withe everyone you must be on the forum home page and then scroll down to see the chat in the bottom right and click on the "shout box" tab.

What do you guys think about the day? time?

I normally go to bed around 9 or 930 on most Sunday nights. So, earlier would be better for me.

Sunday is probably the best day, but people who fish Sunday may not get home in time for the chats at 8 or 9.

Good point about people getting not getting home from a trip early enough and also many folks have to hit hay early for work early Monday morning (I know, I once did 5am start work, get up at 3:30am). Ain't no perfect time.

Once we get enough folks here on the site, I wouldn't be surprised if it started around 5pm and went on till 2am. I agree that Sunday afternoon/night would be best, tho.

I like the idea. And as mentioned before, there is never a perfect time for everyone. But it would be nice to know you could check in at a specific time when you do get the chance and have a good shot at seeing some other folks there.

Alright, let's give it as shot this Sunday at 8pm. We moved the chat off here because we wanted to widen the forum, but we're making the home page the official chatting place for the time being. If you can get on then, then come on! If not, then jump on later. I don't think anyone who lives in the southeast will be fishing this Sunday with all this rain so I am sure we could have a few folks online.

That was fun guys. I think we had about 10 different people on between 8 and about 9:45. We'll keep doing it every Sunday night and if you can make it, great, if not, we'll catch you next week.

Being new to the site I just stumbled onto this post. Might be a good idea to put something about this chat session on the front page somewhere so all can remember.

Good point SouthFork and thanks for pinning it PawPaw.

And remember you can chat here anytime too! Just click on the river chatn and then click on the small square icon that has an arrow coming out of it at the bottom right of the screen. This allows you to pop the chat out where you can continue to browse the site and do whatever while still stay connected to river chat'n! Pretty cool huh.

A lot of times when I am on the site I'll go to the chat first, then pop it out and sometimes someone else joins in or several people and sometimes no one but at least its up and I can chat if anyone pops on and wants to.
